Changing my perspective on life and myself has been something I've been focusing on in my life. The first thing I've had to do is quiet my mind. It's harder then it looks haha when I first started to meditate I would find myself quickly getting distracted and I would start doing random things like dancing, singing songs in my head and not meditating at all. But as I kept practicing and becoming aware when I was leaving my quiet mind time, I would bring myself back. I found it easier for me to focus and let go of my own mind when I was taking a warm bubble bath. Something about the warm water on my body, helped me to relax and loosen the grip I had on my own mind.


So, often I do my meditating when I am taking a nice relaxing bubble bath. It's easier for me to see things in my own mind when I quiet out what's around me. I even have placed boundaries with my own kids so they know, when mom needs quiet time or time to herself. I've basically "trained" my kids to be able to feed themselves and function when I am in a meditative state. I usually only meditate when my kids are asleep before bed but if I find myself in a very stressful state of mind I will allow myself to "shut down" and go into meditation once I get my outer world in a good place.


Creating and making good choices to benefit my life has been a process. I've noticed that when I'm in a happy mindset, a purposeful mindset, I make better choices. When I am in a fearful or stressed state of mind, I'm still creating, BUT I'm making choices that aren't that great for me. I would call those choices lessons that lead me back to myself. So it's crucial for myself, to be aware of my inner world. My inner world is my thoughts, my feelings, my judgements. That's the world I create from which creates my outer world.
